Snap-In Implant Denture

What are snap-in Dentures?

Snap-in dentures are often used as a form of teeth replacement for patients suffering from missing teeth due to a variety of dental conditions of injury.

Conventional dentures can often slip out of place, while snap-in dentures are more stable and versatile since they are anchored to your mouth.

The snap-in dentures would be anchored to the mouth using dental implants (essentially a dental screw) placed within your jawbone to hold the denture in place. The health standard would be to use 2 to 4 dental implants for each jaw however more could be required dependent upon that specific patients requirement.

After the implants are inserted into the jaw, the implant supported snap-in denture can be set in place. The denture can be either permanently fixed in place or removable dependent upon patient preference.

Snap-in denture benefits

  •  Snap-in dentures are fixed in the mouth unlike conventional dentures, which cane become loose while speaking. Snap-in dentures therefor are much less likely to slip out of place.
  • Chewing ability is greatly enhanced with snap-in dentures and patients can eat stickier and harder foods as a result.
  • One major advantage of snap-in dentures is that they are far more comfortable than traditional dentures. This is because there is less friction on the gums from movement.
  • Snap in dentures prevent further bone loss as they act more closed to natural teeth
